Do the latest ScanSnap scanning solutions support cross platform integration (PC and Macintosh)?

Fujitsu continues to incorporate new and innovative features into every generation of ScanSnap to make the scanners even easier to use and more productive, as is the case with our latest models. 

The ScanSnap S1500 (for PC) and S1500M (for Mac) have specific software bundles that are “optimized” to support their respective platform – such as Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard (for PC) and Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional (for Mac).  However, the ScanSnap S1500 and the S1500M come with a Setup DVD that includes the interface software for ScanSnap (like a driver) named ScanSnap Manager that will allow each model to “cross-over” on a PC and a Mac.  The ScanSnap Manager provides users with many cross-platform functions like One-button Scanning, Searchable PDF Creation, Quick Menu (limited options), Intelligent Scanning, Profile Management, Marked Text Function, and access to Scanner Settings. 

So, while cross-platform users are equipped with some of the best features ScanSnap has to offer, we always encourage customers to purchase a ScanSnap for the platform they use the most so they can take advantage of ALL the scanner has to offer on their preferred platform.
