From buyers to sellers, to real estate agents and mortgage lenders, one thing is common across all parties –signatures, background financial information and extensive paperwork is a function of completing tasks.  More and more real estate professionals are using the ScanSnap to aid with their day to day business needs.  Here are two stories from real estate professionals who share how their ScanSnap improved efficiency and eliminated unnecessary paper in the field and at the office.

“I’m a Title Searcher in the legal field for real estate. My duties require traveling to town halls throughout my state to compile information by searching public land records.  Copies of this information are required as proof of a person’s ownership claim (deed) or liability (lien).  A report is then generated of a list of deeds, mortgages, liens and other encumbrances pertaining to title of owned properties. The ScanSnap 300M is a very useful tool that accompanies my laptop. I can easily scan the copies that I have made along with the detailed report and e-mail the PDF file back to my office where the staff can then take the next step in the process of mortgage commitment or a foreclosure complaint. The ScanSnap S300M is portable and as such, necessary for me to have on the road.  It is fast and the scan quality is excellent. The Mac version works well with my MacBook.   Both products work together seamlessly and are very user-friendly. I would highly recommend the Fujitsu ScanSnap S300M to anyone as it is a very professional and highly dependable work appliance. “- Rich Parenteau, Farmington, CT

“I am a real estate agent and have created my last paper shadow file for an escrow! I am opening a new escrow this week and have set up folders in my client’s folder in documents that mimic a paper file as in, Title documents, Inspections, Contracts, Disclosure, Financials and Communications. I will scan in all of my signed and initialed documents and then hand over the signed copies to my transaction coordinator, rather than make a second copy for myself. Once the escrow closes, I will burn the folder containing all of the documents on to a CD. This is going to make sharing contracts and disclosures that have to be signed by the other side easier than ever. No more faxing to email. No more copies, unnecessary duplicates. This is hardware whose time has come!” - Pam Atchison, Santa Rosa, CA
