The answer is yes, with an add-on tool called GoScan.  GoScan makes the ScanSnap a “scan to database” machine.  Best of all, there is no work involved.  It is all completely automatic and takes three simple steps.

  1. From your ScanSnap, scan images to a folder.
  2. From GoScan, set the image source to “Hot Folder” and select the same folder that you are scanning to from your ScanSnap.  GoScan will automatically pick up any images placed in this folder.
  3. From GoScan, pick your database and enter your database details.
