We all know that the ScanSnap iX100 is the ideal tool for scanning and organizing on-the-go. But do you know some of the top productivity features of the iX100? Here are my top ways to use this scanner to remain efficient and productive.
Automatic Stitching – The ScanSnap iX100 is great for scanning large 11×17 images using the automatic stitching feature. Users can scan an 11×17 document by folding it in half and scanning each side of the document. Once the scan is complete, the software will automatically stitch the image back together without using a carrier sheet! Dual Scanning – Have you ever wanted to scan two smaller documents at the same time? You can, using the iX100’s Dual Scan feature. You can take two smaller documents such as receipts or business cards and scan them side by side using the iX100. The software will crop and save them as two separate pages in a PDF. For more information about how to use Dual Scan, check out this article.
Rechargeable Battery – With a rechargeable ion lithium battery powering the iX100 you can continuously scan up to 260 pages on a full charge. It only takes 3 hours for the battery to fully recharge. The ability to operate using a built-in battery makes the iX100 a truly portable wireless scanner.
Wireless Options – The iX100 gives you the latest in wireless scanning technology with a built-in micro GI Processor. The GI Processor allows you to scan a document to your mobile device without connecting to a traditional Wi-Fi network. This is called Direct Connect mode because you are directly connecting to a small Wi-Fi network that is built into the scanner itself. Users also have the option to wirelessly connect the iX100 to a stationary router inside a home or office. For more information on the iX100’s different wireless options, check out this article.
Mobility – The iX100 allows you to have complete mobility. All you need is the iX100 and a mobile device, such as smart phone or tablet. With the iX100’s ability to transmit its own Wi-Fi signal, users are able to completely bypass a computer and scan directly to a mobile device, even during initial set up.
