How to Use ScanSnap Sync

ScanSnap Sync is a new feature that allows ScanSnap users to quickly synchronize their scanned documents between ScanSnap Organizer on their computer with their ScanSnap Connect Application on their mobile device. ScanSnap Sync utilizes cloud services such as DropBox, Google Drive and OneDrive, allowing users to easily access and manage their documents across multiple devices.

It’s easy to use ScanSnap Sync! Start by updating your ScanSnap Connect App and perform an online update to ensure you have the latest software. Once the updates are completed, open ScanSnap Organizer (on your computer) or ScanSnap Connect (on your mobile device) and you will be prompted to set up ScanSnap Sync using your existing account on one of the 3 cloud services that are supported. If you do not have an account with one of these services, there is an option to create a new account.

Once you are logged into your preferred cloud service, scan your documents into ScanSnap Organizer on your computer and simply drag and drop the files into the ScanSnap Sync folder. Your PDFs or JPEGs will automatically sync on your mobile device. If you do not want all of your documents synced, simply change the settings to “manual sync” from “automatic”.

ScanSnap Sync works in the opposite direction as well. You can scan your documents to your mobile device using ScanSnap Connect and they will automatically be synced to ScanSnap Organizer.

Now, you have a quick and easy way to access and manage your scanned documents across multiple devices using the ScanSnap Sync functionality.

A couple of quick notes. You are able to store a variety of document types in ScanSnap Organizer but ScanSnap Sync will only allow you to sync PDFs and JPEGs files. If you would like to switch between cloud services, you can do so through the settings. When you do change your cloud service, the documents already stored on ScanSnap Sync will not transfer over and you will have to transfer them manually.
