In most cases, when you install your ScanSnap S1500 for the first time, the “standard” profile defaults to Adobe Acrobat. But the standard profile is often changed by the user without realizing it.  If you aren’t familiar with setting up a profile on your ScanSnap, then changes made to the ScanSnap Manager related to the application may result in losing scan to Adobe Acrobat altogether (it’s not really lost… it’s just not selected any longer). This may also occur when updating to a newer version of Acrobat – you’ll need to update your Acrobat profile to support it. To find out how you can scan directly to Adobe Acrobat and bypass ScanSnap Manager with your ScanSnap S1500, follow these simple step-by-step instructions.

  1. Turn off the Quick Menu.
  2. Select the Standard Profile.
  3. On the “Application” tab, select “Adobe Acrobat” from the pull down menu.
  4. Click “Apply” and “Ok” to save these changes to your profile.

It’s that easy!
