Where to find help for ScanSnap
We recently discussed where you can find support for your Fujitsu ScanSnap. But did you also know there are a few helpful tools within the ScanSnap Manager software if a need arises? The first tool is the ScanSnap Operator’s Guide which provides a general overview on ScanSnap including installation, general uses, care and trouble shooting tips. The second tool is the ScanSnap Manager Help, which can help provide further direction about adjusting ScanSnap Manager settings, scan to functions, consumable life, and messages in the ScanSnap manager. Below we will show you how to access the ScanSnap Operator’s Guide and ScanSnap Manager Help.
To open the ScanSnap Operator’s Guide, for S1500 and S1300 on a PC:
Click the start button and select Programs>ScanSnap Manager>ScanSnap Operator’s Guide.
The Operator’s guide will launch in a PDF with the table of contents listed to the left as shown below.
To open the ScanSnap Operator’s Guide, for S1500M and S1300 on a Mac:
Click on Finder>Applications and scroll to find the ScanSnap application folder.
Open the ScanSnap folder and then click on the Manual folder.
Select Operator’s Guide.
The Operator’s guide will launch in a PDF with the table of contents listed to the left as shown below.
To open the ScanSnap Manager Help, for S1500 and S1300 on a PC:
Right click on the ScanSnap icon in your system tray:
Select “Help” in the pop up menu and click on “Help” again from the second pop-up menu.

To open the ScanSnap Manager Help For a S1500M or S1300 on a Mac:
Open the ScanSnap Manager menu by pointing your mouse to the ScanSnap icon in the dock. Click and hold to bring up the menu below if you have Leopard Mac OS. Select “Help” and then click “Help” again in the second pop-up menu.
If you have Snow Leopard Mac OS, hold ctrl and click on the ScanSnap icon. Select “Help” and then click “Help” again in the second pop-up menu.
ScanSnap Manager Help will open as shown below and you can scroll to the topic you are looking for.
