How do I scan a page that is longer than 14 inches in length with my S1500\S1500M scanner?
In order to scan a page that is longer than 14 inches in length (but less than 34 inches) do the following:
A. For Windows (S1500)
- Open the ScanSnap Manager by right clicking the ScanSnap Manager Icon (Blue circle with “S” in it) in the system tray (lower right hand corner of your screen).
- After the ScanSnap Manager Menu appears left click on [Scan Button Settings].
- Next click on the [Scanning] tab and set the [Image Quality] mode to any mode except “Excellent.”
- Click [O.k.] to save and exit the ScanSnap Manager menu.
- Load your long documents into the scanner input tray.
- Hold the Scan button until it blinks blue for three seconds or longer.*
- The document will being scanning.
Note: Long page mode is not recommended for documents of legal size or smaller.
*To switch back to Normal Page Mode repeat step 5 above. Reference p.173 of S1500\1500M User Manual
B. For Mac (S1500M)
- Open the ScanSnap Manager by pressing [CTL] and clicking on the ScanSnap Manager in the dock (Blue circle with an “S” in it).
- After the Scan\Snap Manager Menu appears left click on [Scan Button Settings].
- Next click on the [Scanning] tab and set the [Image Quality] mode to any mode except “Excellent.”
- Click [O.k.] to save and exit the ScanSnap Manager menu.
- Load your long documents into the scanner input tray.
- Hold the Scan button until it blinks blue for three seconds or longer.*
- The document will being scanning.
Note: Long page mode is not recommended for documents of legal size or smaller.
