How to Scan to Mobile with your ScanSnap
Being mobile and portable is the key to improving efficiency and productivity. Now you have the same efficiency and productivity with your scanned documents. For the first time ever, you can now scan your documents directly to your mobile device using your ScanSnap Scanner. With a few simple steps you can easily configure your ScanSnap scanner to scan directly to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch using the ScanSnap Connect Application and your WiFi connection. Not only can you scan your documents to your mobile device, you can now easily view and access your documents directly from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. With the ScanSnap Connect Application installed on your mobile device; you will never be without your documents. The ScanSnap Connect Application also allows you to send your documents to other applications on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch that support PDF formats, unleashing endless possibilities.
Follow the steps below to set-up your ScanSnap scanner to scan to mobile.
A. Insure that your computer and your mobile device are on the same internet connection.
B. Install the ScanSnap Connect App on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
There are two ways to install the ScanSnap Connect Application.
1. Install from App Store on your iPhone, iPad or IPod Touch.
a. Launch the App Store from your iPhone, iPad or IPod Touch
b. Search for “ScanSnap Connect Application.”
c. Install the application.

2. OR Install from iTunes
a. Launch iTunes from your computer
b. Search for “ScanSnap Connect Application”
c. Navigate to the “ScanSnap Connect Application” home page and install the app

C. Get ready to scan:
1. With Quick Menu Enabled: (Quick Menu will launch after pages are scanned)
a. Double click the ScanSnap Manager icon in the task-bar and a window will appear (ScanSnap Manager settings).
b. Select Quick Menu (Quick Menu will have a check mark next to it when it is enabled.)
c. Close the ScanSnap manager settings.
d. Load paper in the scanner.
e. Press the scan button on your ScanSnap.
f. After pages are scanned, the Quick Menu will launch.
g. Click on the Scan to Mobile function.

h. If you are using Scan to Mobile for the first time, you will be prompted with instructions on how to enable Scan To Mobile.
i. Read all the steps carefully and click [OK]

j. Create a password to connect with your device

k. Launch the ScanSnap Connect Application on the Mobile Device.
l. Click on the setting icon toward the bottom left of the mobile device and select your computer.
m. After selecting your computer, you will be prompted to enter in the password you created earlier. Enter the password and click OK.

n. Your scanned documents will be automatically transferred to your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

o. Now you can easily view your documents from your mobile device and easily send your documents to other applications.


2. With Quick Menu Disabled: (Once paper is scanned, the Scan to Mobile window will open.)
a. Double click the ScanSnap Manager icon in the task-bar and a window will appear (ScanSnap Manager settings).
b. De-select quick menu. (Quick menu will not have a check mark next to it when it is disabled.)
c. On the Application tab, use the drop down arrow and choose Scan to Mobile and click Apply.

d. Close the ScanSnap Manager settings.
e. Load paper in the scanner.
f. Press the scan button on the scanner.
g. If you are using Scan to Mobile for the first time, you will be prompted with instructions on how to enable Scan to Mobile.
h. Read all the steps carefully and click [OK]

i. Create a password to connect with your device

j. Launch the ScanSnap Connect Application on the Mobile Device.
k. Click on the setting icon toward the bottom left of the mobile device and select your computer.
l. After selecting your computer, you will be prompted to enter in the password you created earlier. Enter the password and click OK.

m. Your scanned documents will be automatically transferred to your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

n. Now you can easily view your documents from your mobile device and easily send your documents to other applications.
