If you’ve ever wondered if there was a feature available within ScanSnap Organizer that would allow you to password protect your scanned documents then look no further! We have a step-by-step guide on how to make that happen – check it out below:
Double click to open document
Click Security tab
Change Document open password to YES
Enter password and confirm
Dialog box appears, “The file has been modified. Save anyway?” Click Yes
Same steps would apply if they wanted to create a password on a PDF document, scanned but not necessarily in Organizer. Only works if document has not been encrypted/signed.
Go to Security tab
Securtiy Method field, change to ‘Password Security’
Password Security Window will pop up
Then check the ‘Require a password to open the document’
Enter a password
It’s as easy as that!

The rep could not have been more knowledgeable or helpful. She was perfect. And I want to tell you that my S1300i scanner is the most wonderful, useful, practical, terrific tool, appliance or machine I have ever owned. I use it many times each day, and it never fails. It improves my business days. I never travel without it. I traveled the country in my motorhome for a year this last year, and never missed a beat. none of my clients even knew I wasn’t my desk! Thank you for creating such a great tool!
