The ScanSnap S1100 works great with all our laptops and fits right in the bag with the computer when I travel. Now contact cards can be scanned directly to my laptop just as soon as the student fills it out.
Once again, the school year is upon us. As a college student, this means job interviews, office hours, spending time in class, and many lost papers along the way. My life is digital and, as a result, it is difficult to keep track of all of the paper documents that I come into contact with on a daily basis. Every school year, students always get bombarded with paper.
One of the first blog posts I wrote was about the power of the scanner option on my school’s photocopier. If you somehow collected all of the devices I have used over the years you would see that I have owned at least 6 different scanners since I started college in the 90′s. I have […]
There are many reasons for a teacher to take their classroom paperless, but what happens when someone else decides it is time for your classroom to kick your paper habit? Thanks to those who communicated with me following my initial ScanSnap iX500 post. It’s great to find others who are like-minded! This post will give more details on my workflow with the iX500, and some initial ScanSnap SV600 reactions. At the end I have included a link to a Dropbox folder where you can see […]
With Thanksgiving and the holiday season upon us, the elementary classroom begins to take on a new feel. The excitement and enthusiasm is palpable. As a teacher, it is a great opportunity for me to model gratitude and a thankful heart for my little learners. I look upon this season as a chance for my […]
As a teacher I have been a long-time fan of ScanSnap. When I was introduced to scanning technology in school my approach to in-class paper handouts changed. In many ways a good scanner was really what got me started on my tech integration journey. As an English teacher I struggled with piles of notebooks and […]
