In today’s tough times, nobody may be feeling the hit as much as real estate professionals, who all seem to be embracing technology in order to do less with more and become more productive. With so many different areas of use – scanning in contracts to modify them in Microsoft Word, digitizing and returning a buyer’s documents instantly, and scanning signed offers right to an agent’s email and sending them off without ever having to return to an office – it was clear from the realtors we spoke with that ScanSnap scanners are helping them streamline their business processes every day.
Here are some highlights from the show:
Several real estate professionals shared that they use ScanSnap when dealing with tax returns. ScanSnap allows them to take a portable device on-site to their meeting with a client and digitize the required documents and return them to their client immediately.
Several realtors wanted to know how to export business card contact information into software like Top Producer. We shared that with ScanSnap and CardMinder, you can download information to a .csv or Excel file and import that into any system that accepts it.
One CRS Realtor said he combines a notebook computer with an AirCard, Bluetooth portable printer and S300 in order to be completely mobile while showing a house to a buyer. He can draft, print, sign, scan, and email offers and contracts without ever having to go back to the office.
Another real estate professional shared her experience with ScanSnap’s “green” benefits; she provides her clients with a CD / DVD of all the final paperwork instead of giving them the hard copy documents.
